John Larsen, Director of Admissions at Wisconsin State University, Stevens
Point, completed academic requirements this months for a Doctor of Education
degree.
The Ed. D. in guidance and counselling was conferred following the claos of
summer school on August 20, 1968 at the University of Wyoming in Laramie.
Larsen, a native of Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), has been on the faculty at Stevens
Point since 1964, first as an admissions counselor, and since last fall, in his
present position. He formerly was principal at Auburndale High School, and
before that a teacher and coash at Newman High School in Wausau.
Larsen holds B.S. and M.S. degree for study at WSU, La Crosse, Stout State
University, and the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
He is married to the former Ann Janda, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Janda of
Abbotsford, and is the father of four daughters. His parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Arnold Larsen, reside in Birnamwood.
