Harwick, Delores Alvina (12 August 1927 – 27 June 2017)
Delores Harwick, 89, of Marshfield died Monday, June 27, 2017, at the house of
the Dove in Marshfield.
Delores Alvina Egan was born Aug. 12, 1927, in Oconomowoc, the daughter of James
and Alvina (Graf) Egan. When Delores was 14 years old, the family moved to
Neillsville, and she did babysitting and housekeeping. She then went to work at
the Arbutus Café in downtown Neillsville. In 1952, she married Neil Trogner; he
died Sept. 1, 1961. She later married Harry Harwick. Delores retired from
waitressing in 1966. Harry died Jan. 10, 1994.
She was a member of the United Church of Christ in Neillsville, and used to help
with the funeral luncheons. She enjoyed crocheting and crafting, and she loved
to travel. She traveled to California, Nevada, Arizona, Missouri, Virginia, the
Dakotas, Montana, and Wyoming.
She is survived, by two children, Diane (Robert) Vine of Marshfield, and George
(Rebecca) Trogner of Winchester, VA; several grandchildren, and many
great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Bettyann Scott of Boulder
City, NV.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, daughter Buffy Drangstveit, and
Buffy’s twin Jody Harwick, brother Gilbert Staffon, and sister Joann Lynch.
A memorial service for immediate family will be held at a later date.
