Olson, Irene Clara (10 NOV 1924 – 08 SEP 1968)

Funeral services for Mrs. Wayne Olson, 43, Curtiss (Clark Co., Wis.), were conducted at two o'clock yesterday from St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Curtiss, with the Rev. Roger Tellock officiating. Burial was made at Pine Hill Cemetery at Curtiss.

Serving as pallbearers were John Strassburger, Ed Krause, Frank Hamm, Alfred Thompson, Ervin Krause and Neil Green.

Mrs. Olson's death came as a surprise to her immediate family and friends, succumbing to a fatal heart attack Sunday afternoon.

The former Irene Clara Schuette was born November 10, 1924 in the town of Beaver (Clark Co.). She was baptized January 4, 1925 and confirmed June 18, 1939 by Rev. M.C. Goetsch. She received her education in the Colby school system and the Vocational School in Eau Claire. She had been employed at the Curtiss State Bank in Curtiss.

Her marriage to Wayne Olson took place on August 31, 1946, at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in the Town of Green Grove, with Rev. Goetsch officiating.

Mrs. Olson was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, the ALCW and the Parent-Teachers Association.

In addition to her husband, survivors are four daughters, Kiana, Eau Claire; Donna, Betty Ann and Christine Lily, at home; three sons, Dennis, Decorah, Iowa; Allen and Robert at home; her mother, Mrs. Walter (Lily) Schuette, Unity; four sisters, Mrs. Carl (Elpha) Zarnsdorf, Owen; Mrs. Frank (Blanche) Zimmerman, Loyal; Mrs. Don (Dorothy) Smith, Loyal; and Mrs. Jerry (Connie) Uhlig, Sturdevant; and two brothers, Edlren and Delbert of Unity.
