Taulu, Esther (18 JUN 1909 – 7 SEP 1968)
Mrs. Esther Taulu, 59, of Gurnee, Illinois, a former Owen (Clark Co., Wis.)
resident, died unexpectedly Saturday afternoon, September 7, 1968, of a heart
attack. Funeral services were held Tuesday, September 10 at Waukegan, Illinois.
Mrs. Taulu was born June 18, 1909 in DeKalb, Illinois. In 1912 she moved with
her parents and brothers to a farm south of Owen. She received her education at
South Bright and Owen High School.
In 1928 she went to Milwaukee, where she was employed, later moving to Waukegan,
Illinois.
Her marriage to Martin Taulu, who preceded her in death, Sept 28, 1964, took
place May 29, 1935 in Waukegan, Illinois. They lived there until 1942, when they
moved to Gurnee, Illinois.
Survivors are one son, Paul; four brothers, William Kangas, rural Owen; Edward
Kangas, Milwaukee; Richard Kangas, also of Milwaukee, and Edwin Kangas, Ceres,
California; and one grandson.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her mother and father.
