Johnson, Anna (7 SEP 1885 – 10 SEP 1968)
Mrs. Anna Johnson, 83, Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), died Thursday, September 19,
1968, at Victory Memorial Hospital, Stanley, following a stroke.
Funeral services were conducted at two o'clock Sunday, September 22 from
Nazareth Lutheran Church, with Rev. H.W. Luetkehoelter officiating, with burial
being made in the parish cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers were Alfred Fros, Arnold Rasmussen, Sig Sorensen, Hans
Clausen, Oscar Makinen, and Harold Christensen.
The former Anna Hansen was born September 7, 1885 in Chicago, and received her
education there. Her marriage to Axel A. Johnson, who preceded her in death,
November 10, 1950, took place in 1910 at St. Joseph's, Michigan.
After their marriage, the couple made their home in the Withee area, where they
had farmed until 1950, when Mrs. Johnson returned to Withee.
Mrs. Johnson was a member of the Nazareth Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid
Society.
Survivors include a brother, Harry A. Hansen, Milwaukee; and a sister, Mrs.
Clara Lorentzen, Newberry, California.
