Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Thompson left Friday for Beaver Dam, where they spent the weekend with their son-in-law and daughter, Rev. and Mrs. Gordon Sorensen and family. They returned home Monday.

Mrs. Ada Peterson of Homewood, Ill., visited briefly Sunday at the home of her sister-in-law, Mrs. E.M. Peterson, and the Ralph Peterson homes.

The Rev. and Mrs. M.C. Goetsch of Merrill attended the funeral services of Mrs. Wayne Olson at St. Paul's Lutheran Church here, on the 11th of September.

Mr. and Mrs. A.M. Erickson returned home from St. Cloud, Minn. Sunday, after visiting at the home of their son, Mr. and Mrs. John Erickson, the past week.

Missionary Pastor Walter Raasch of Nigeria, Africa, was the guest speaker at St. Luke's and St. Paul's Lutheran Churches Sunday morning. A potluck dinner was served at the services. The pastor and his family will be leaving Wednesday on their way to Chicago, from where they will enplane to New York and then to their field of labor.

Mr. and Mrs. Roger Maki and sons of Rockford, Ill. were weekend guests as the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Willard Geary and the Wm. Maki home.

Mr. and Mrs. Halver Gilbertson of Alhambra, California, who have been visiting relatives in this area, returned to their home today.
