Angelich, Frances Rose (Kunze) (25 SEP 1923 - 7 JUL 2017)
Frances Rose Angelich, age 93, formally of Colby, passed away on Friday, July 7,
2017 at Dycora Transitional Health in Abbotsford.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 12,
2017 at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Abbotsford. Father Tim Oudenhoven will
officiate. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
Family and friends are welcome from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 11 at
Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford with a Rosary Service at 6:30 p.m.
and also from 10:00 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at the church.
Frances was born on September 25, 1923, the daughter of Joseph and Catherine
(Meyer) Kunze in Abbotsford. She is a graduate of Colby High School. She was
united in marriage to Dan Angelich on August 23, 1947.
Frances was a welder in Chicago before marriage. During 1948-1991, she lived in
Detroit and worked as a nanny. In 1991, she moved back to Colby where she loved
to volunteer at St. Mary's Catholic School. She also enjoyed fishing, working on
puzzles, and reading books.
Frances is survived by her two brothers: Raymond Kunze of Idaho, and Bernard
"Buddy" (Beverly) Kunze of Abbotsford; and two sisters-in-law: Verjean Kunze of
Abbotsford, and Joanne Kunze of Abbotsford. She is further survived by many
nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dan (1978), her son:
Joseph "Joe", her siblings: Lawrence Kunze, Gilbert Kunze, Estella "Teda"
Sossaman, and Herbert Kunze and Helen Kunze (both in infancy); and her beloved
dog "Wolfie".
