Stella Pendergast, 89, of Goodyear, AZ, formerly of Rib Lake, passed away Friday
June 30, 2017 in Goodyear, AZ.
Stella (Bieniek) Pendergast was born in Rib Lake, Wisconsin on June 11, 1928 to
Adam and Susan (Kuna) Bieniek. She married William "Bill" Pendergast on November
30, 1946.
Bill and Stella lived in many cities in Wisconsin during their marriage
including Rib Lake, Medford, Milwaukee, Oshkosh, Knowles. Minocqua, Lilly, and
Shawano. During their retirement years they traveled to Texas to avoid the
Wisconsin winters. They spent 63 loving and happy years together until Bill's
death in October 2009. Following the death of Bill, Stella lived in Eagle River
and in Goodyear, Arizona.
Stella was devoted to raising her family of four boys and four girls. Her
children include, Dan Pendergast, Judy Pendergast, Kathy Klein, John Pendergast,
Mark Pendergast, Carol Nelson, Dave Pendergast and Kris VanNatta. She also
leaves behind a legacy of twenty-four grandchildren, twenty-eight great
grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren.
Stella is survived by three sisters: Mary DeBruin, Eva Matheus (William), and
Katherine Chase.
She is preceded in death by one sister: Helen Surek and four brothers: Anton,
Adam, John and Frank Bieniek.
Although she is gone from this world, she will always be in our hearts.
A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday July 7, 2017 at Good Shepherd
Catholic Church in Rib Lake with Father Otto Bucher officiating. Burial will
follow in Lakeview Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Friday morning at Good Shepherd Catholic Church from
9:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM
