Rosenlof, Dorothy F. (Schilling) (4 MAR 1920 - 9 JUL 2017)
Dorothy F. Rosenlof, 97, Phillips, longtime resident of Brantwood, died on
Sunday, July 9, 2017, at the Aspirus Pleasant View Nursing Home, while under the
care of Flambeau Home Health and Hospice.
She was born on March 4, 1920, in the Town of Prentice the daughter of Joseph
and Agnes (Polukie) Schilling. She spent all of her life in Price County. She
attended and graduated from the Prentice School District. She was married to
Walter Rosenlof on December 16, 1939, in Prentice. He preceded her in death on
October 6, 2009. She and her husband Walter owned and operated a dairy farm in
the Town of Knox. She was also employed as a teller at the Medford Bank for 22
years prior to her retirement.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Spirit. She enjoyed the outdoors
especially trapping with her husband Walter, hunting, ice fishing for Bluegills,
and sold maple syrup under the name of Rosenlof Sugar Bush.
She is survived by 1 son: Richard, Mesa, AZ, by 2 grandsons: Damon (Lori) and
Dean (Kimberly) both of Tempi, AZ by 1 great granddaughter: Deidra, and by 1
great grandson; Daltin.
She was preceded in death by her parents, by her husband Walter, by 4 brothers
and sisters, and by her daughter-in-law Susan.
The funeral service will be held at 3:30 P.M. on Friday, July 14, 2017, at the
Heindl Funeral Home, Prentice, with Pastor James Langebartels of Zion Lutheran
Church, Spirit officiating. Interment will be in the Prentice Cemetery,
Prentice. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2:30 P.M. on Friday until
the time of the service.
