Szcymczak, Paul (29 JUN 1888 – 18 NOV 1968)
At one-thirty today, Thursday, November 2, 1968, funeral services for Paul
Szcymczak, 80, were held at the Hoeper and Kraut Funeral Home. A Wausau speaker
officiated at the service, with burial being made at Riverside Cemetery.
Mr. Szcymczak was born June 29, 1888 in Poland. He was married July 21, 1937 in
Withee (Clark Co., Wis.) to Caroline Bytof. He farmed in the Withee area for
many years and then moved to Wausau in 1946, where he worked as a landscaper.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Caroline Szcymczak, Wausau; step-sons, Harry
Bytof and Lester Bytof, Chicago; Captain Clarence Bytof, U.S.M.S. Cardiff By the
Sea, California; Otto Bytas, Appleton; three daughters, Mrs. John Gazkos,
Chicago; Mrs. Frank Kreiesch, Arlington Heights, Ill.; Mrs. June McCarthy,
Madison; fifteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
