Zelm, Sandra (9 NOV 1968)
Sandra Zelm, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Zelm, Withee (Clark Co., Wis.,
became the bride of Mr. David Kurth, son of Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Kurth of
Brookfield, on Saturday, November 9, 1968. Rev. LeRoy Urman performed the three
o'clock ceremony at St. John's Lutheran Church in Withee.
The bride approached the alter wearing a white street length gown of satin
covered with lace. The empire waist had a satin ribbon ith a shoulder attached
train. The bouffant veil was attached with a satin bow. Given in marriage by her
father, the bride carried white chrysanthemums with an orchid in the center.
The maid of honor, Mary Kolpanen, wore a short sleeved, street length empire
waist dress. The bodice was white lace, and the skirt was dark green velveteen.
The bridesmaid, Mary Zelm, sister of the bride, wore a same style dress, on the
skirt was rust velveteen. Each girl carried rust and gold chrysanthemums as
their bouquet. The flower girl, Sheryl Kurth, sister of the groom, wore a blue
green velveteen skirt with a satin bodice.
Dennis Mastricola of Red Granite served as best man, with Tom Kurth, Brookfield,
as groomsman. Serving as ushers were Richard Helm and James Zelm.
The bridal dinner was held in the church parlors and the reception at the home
of the bride's parents.
Wedding guests came from Milwaukee, Pewaukee, Appleton, Minneapolis, St. Paul,
Wauwatosa, Lake Delton, Brookfield, Eau Claire, Owen, Withee, Chicago, Ill., and
Takoma Park, Maryland.
Mr. and Mrs. David Kurth are at home in Madison, where the bride is a junior at
the University and her husband is a senior.
