Rizner, George (22 June 1923 – 5 July 2017) With Flag
Loving husband and father, George Rizner, 94, of Neillsville passed away
Wednesday, July 5, 2017, at the Neillsville Retirement Community. George was
born June 22, 1923, in the Town of Washburn to Mike and Rose (Kalas) Rizner. He
was raised on a dairy farm along with his two sisters and five brothers.
He was called to Military servicer in 1943, where he served in the Army Medical
Corp, and Military Police while stationed in France during World War II. After
he was discharged in 1946, he went to Milwaukee where he found work at Allis
Chalmers as a welder. After working there 34 years, he retired and returned to
Neillsville in 1983. He was united in marriage to Mancy Mueller Jan. 1, 1988.
George enjoyed hunting, fishing, hiking, traveling, and gardening.
He is survived by his wife, nieces, and nephews.
George was preceded in death by his son Michael, who died in an auto accident at
age 24. He was also preceded in death by his parents, five brothers: Anton,
Emil, Edward, Frank, and Bill, and two sisters, Albie, and Bessie.
A private memorial service for George will be held at the Neillsville City
Cemetery. Pastor Jacoba Koppert will reside.
