Cieslik, Patricia A. (9 NOV 1968)
The Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Owen, was the setting for the 10:30 a.m.
wedding Saturday, November 9, 1968 of Miss Patricia A. Cieslik, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Frank Cieslik, Chippewa Falls, and Herman W. Rust Jr., son of Mr. and
Mrs. Herman Rust Sr., Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.). Father H.L. Crubel officiated
for the wedding.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a floor length gown of chiffon
faille imported Shiffli embroidered lace embellished the colonial sleeves and
empire styled bodice featuring a demi-scoop neckline. The A-line silhouette was
highlighted by a detachable train, sweeping to chapel length. Her veil of sheer
bridal illusion was secured to a cluster of organza roses on an array of forward
spears of organza loops. She carried a bouquet of strawberry red roses and ivy.
Carol Hillman, Altoona was matron of honor. Waverlee Frane, West Bend and Carl
Gash, Chippewa Falls, served as bridesmaids. They wore floor length dresses of
karate in strawberry red. Venice lace accented the empire styled bodice,
featuring elbow length sleeves and bateau necklines. A back panel highlighted by
lace complemented the A-line skirt. Harmonizing veils were secured to French
bows. Each girl carried a cascade of shaded strawberry and white carnations.
James Rust, Greenwood, attended the bridegroom as best man, and Ray Gardner,
Greenwood, and Jerry Boxrucker, Owen, served as the groomsmen. All wore black
tuxedos. Jerry Hillman and Richard Rust ushered the guests to their place.
Following the ceremony a dinner was served in the Holy Rosary Hall. The
reception was held at Meadowview Country Club.
The bride, a 1965 graduate from the Owen-Withee High School, is employed as
catalog associate for J.C. Penny Co., Eau Claire. The bridegroom attended
Greenwood High School and is employed at National Presto Industries in Eau
Claire. The couple will live at 3134 Delbert Road, Eau Claire.
Guests who attended were from St. Paul and Minneapolis, Minn.; Texas; Eau
Claire, Chippewa Falls, Greenwood, Thorp, Colfax, Mosinee, Milwaukee, Marshfield
and the surrounding area.
