Kell, Cheryl Faye (2 NOV 1968)
St. Mary's Catholic Church, Greenwood, was the setting for the wedding of Miss
Cheryl Kell, daughter of Mrs. Norma Kell, Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), and Lawrence
Allen Rondorf, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Rondorf, Greenwood (also Clark Co.),
Saturday, November 2, 1968. Father Koopman performed the ceremony.
Giving the bride away was her brother, Roger Kell. She wore a bridal gown of
delicate floral patterned Chantilly lace over taffeta, with the traditional
train styled with a fitted bodice having a ruffled jewel neckline trimmed with
satin buttons. The long puffed sleeves were lined with organza. The skirt was
A-line and the built in train extended into full chapel sweep. A border of
sequin beaded scalloped lace edged the hem and train of the gown. The bouffant
veil of imported silk illusion was secured to a cap of callace ruffles. The
bride carried a spray of red roses and white mums, and was accented with a white
silk bow.
Serving as her sister's matron of honor, was Mrs. David Hatlestad, Withee. The
bridesmaids were Miss Sandra Wilf, Wausau; Miss Toni Phillips, Oshkosh; and Miss
Janet Van Horn, Owen. The girls wore floor length velvet sheaths, all in ruby
red. The fitted empire bodice had a ruffled neckline and the long sleeves were
trimmed with the same velvet ruffles. The back was detailed with satin buttons
and bown and streamers. They wore dainty maribow headpieces, to which short halo
veil were attached in white, and carried matching maribow muffs with a red rose.
Miss Sheila Blumenstein and Master Pat Rondorf were flower girl and ring bearer.
The flower girl wore a white gown identical to the bride's. She carried a spray
of red sweetheart roses and white miniature mums.
Serving as the groom's best man was Charles Rondorf, West Bend. The groomsmen
were John Johnson of Greenwood; James Rondorf, West Bend, and Dallas Wuethrich,
Greenwood.
A dinner was held at St. Mary's Catholic Church, and later a reception and dance
at the Legion Hall in Owen.
The bride, a 1968 graduate from Owen-Withee High school and has been employed at
Med-Farm Restaurant in Abbotsford, while her husband, who graduated from
Greenwood High School in 1966, is serving in the United States Army.
The couple is undecided at to where they will establish a residence, pending
word of his forthcoming change in military orders.
