McNitt, Margie (30 MAY 1885 – 29 NOV 1968)
Mrs. Margie McNitt, a resident of the town of Longwood (Clark Co., Wis.) for the
past 48 years, passed away at the Clark County Hospital on Friday, the 29th of
November, 1968, after a short illness.
Funeral services were conducted at the Hoeper and Kraut Funeral Home at two
o'clock Monday, December 2, with Rev. Arnold Woodring being in charge. Burial
was made at Riverside Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers were Joe Adams, Bernard Poppe, Tony Ciszewski, John
Wayne, Hugo Wolter and Frank Karye.
Born May 30, 1885 in Pickett Co., Alabama, nee Margie Neff,, was married to
Louis McNitt on November 10, 1904 at Menasha, Wisconsin. The couple made their
home at Neenah until 1920, at which time they came to this community, settling
on a farm in the town of Longwood.
She is survived by two sons, Louis and William of route 1, Withee; and three
daughters, Mrs. Ruth Arnold, Mrs. Nellie Krause and Mrs. Margaret DeWert, all of
Neenah.
Her husband preceded her in death.
