Durbin, Elmer (2 APR 1902 – 10 DEC 1968)
Funeral services for Elmer Earl Durbin, better known to many as "Chub", were
held Friday, December 13, 1968 at the Hoeper and Kraut Funeral Home, with Rev.
Carl Boohr officiating.
Mr. Durbin passed away at Victory Memorial Hospital at Stanley on Tuesday,
December 10, 1968. At the time of his death he was 68 years, and 8 months of
age.
"Chub" was born April 2, 1902 in Iowa and moved to Wisconsin at an early age
with his family. He lived most of his life in the Withee (Clark Co., Wis.) area,
with exception of time spent in the Army during World War II.
He is survived by four brothers, Homer, with whom he made his home; Glen,
Howard, and Alfred, all of Withee; two sisters, Mrs. Floyd Dick of Somerset,
Ky., and Mrs. Felix Poznanski of Waupaca.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a sister.
