The Rev. Alex Fraser and family have been in residence at St. Katherine's Parish
since the 1st of November, 1968. He has been given the responsibility for St.
Mary's in Medford, as well as the Episcopal Chaplainry at the college there.
Fr. Fraser was born in Kansas City, Missouri, graduating from the University of
Kansas at Lawrence, and received his B.D. from St. Luke's Seminary at Sewanee,
Tennessee. He is married to the former Esther Morris Ganaros of …? And who
attended the University of Pennsylvania.
They have two children, Deborah Rachel, a sophomore, and Mary Elizabeth, in
fourth grade.
They come to St. Katherine's from Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, where Fr. Fraser
served as Chaplain in the Episcopal faculty and students of the State College,
Chaplain to the Diocesan Home and Vicar of the local Mission.
During the three years there, the Frasers were active in various Ecumenical
affairs, Human Reactions, Living Room Dialogue, Campus Ministry, joint study and
worship activities with the Roman Catholic Church, Greek Orthodox Church and
other churches. Previous posts include work in Crowley and Jennings, South
Louisiana, Emmanuel Church in Kempsville, Virginia and work in North Carolina.
