Rucks, Ralph E. – T.Sgt. (28 JAN 1931 – 24 DEC 1968)

T/Sgt. Ralph E. Rucks, 37, 5352 Elmwood Road, San Bernardino, California, died Tuesday, December 24, 1968 at San Diego Naval Hospital.


He was a native of Wisconsin, being born January 28, 1931 in the town of Hull (Marathon Co.), near Unity. The past six years he has lived in California, and the last two years at San Bernardino.

A member of the U.S. Air Force for 17 years, he was stationed at Norton Air Force Base with the 63rd Communications Electronics Maintenance Squadron. He received the Air Force Commendation Medal December 12.

He was an elder in the Peace Lutheran Church.

His survivors include his widow, Lorraine, San Bernardino; two daughters, Susan and Cynthia, and a son, Jeffrey, all at home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Rucks, Owen (Clark Co., Wis.); five sisters, Mrs. Margaret Firnstahl, Colby; Mrs. Dorothy Voge, Owen; Mrs. Evelyn Woodward, Rothschild; Mrs. Ruby Lucht, Curtiss, and Mrs. Joanne Johnson, Stanley; and a brothers, John, Schofield.

A military funeral was held Saturday, December 28th at Peace Lutheran Church, San Bernardino, with burial at Montecito Memorial Park.
