Mr. and Mrs. Glen Frane and sons Scott, Steven and Kevin of Colorado Springs,
Colorado, spent the holidays at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Herb
Thompson.
Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Surges and Kim of Milwaukee, Mrs. Ray Rose, Brad and Connie
of Waukesha, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Pietrowski and family of Colby, spent the
weekend at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Herb Thompson, visiting their
sister, Carole and family from Colorado.
Thursday, W.K. Doonan returned home from Sioux Falls, South Dakota, where he had
spent the holidays with his son Terry and family.
The Ernest Gay family visited Sunday with Mrs. Gay's mother at her home in
Spring Valley.
Clarence Kitz was admitted to St. Joseph's Hospital at Marshfield on Monday and
underwent major surgery Wednesday forenoon.
Visiting over the last weekend at the Lonnie Smith home were his parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Wilbur Smith and daughter Carleen of Fox Lake.
Mr. and Mrs. Edward Rucks and daughter, Mrs. Harvey (Evelyn) Woodward of
Rothschild returned to their homes December 31 from San Bernardino, Calif.,
where they attended their son and brother's funeral. Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Hansen
of Vesper also attended the funeral.
The son of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Woodward was seriously bitten by a dog on his
paper route collecting. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Rucks of Owen.
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Parker of Texas visited with relatives over the holidays, and
at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Parker and Mr. and Mrs. James
Devine Sr.
Mr. and Mrs. Larry LeFavre, Janesville, visited after Christmas at the
Westendorf home. Mrs. LeFavre is teaching school near Janesville and lives in
the Janesville system, proper.
