Larson, Karen Sue (Mellenthin) (2 MAY 1945 - 27 JUN 2017)
Karen Sue Larson, age 72, of Winter Park Co, passed away June 27, 2017, after a
courageous battle with cancer at Porter Hospice in Denver.
Karen was born and raised in Spencer, Wisconsin, to Norman and Eleanor
Mellenthin on May 2, 1945. After living in several different states, she
eventually moved to Winter Park, where she and her husband resided for 25 years.
She was married to Dennis Larson who passed away in 2011. Karen lived in Winter
Park for the last 25 years and enjoyed the great community and small-town
atmosphere.
She is survived by her daughters, Lori (Lonnie) Martin of Denver and Linda
(Scott) Chisholm of Highlands Ranch, grandsons Benjamin and Daniel Chisholm. Her
mother Eleanor Mellenthin, brother Doug (Lou Ann) Mellenthin, and sister Nancy
Dietsche all of Spencer, Wisconsin. Her sister-in-laws Dee Dee Larson of Lynden,
Washington, Karen (Perry) Arndt of Medford, Wisconsin, Jan (Joe) Crowson of
Tucson, Arizona, and brother-in-law, Dan (Elaine) Zimmerman of Chandler,
Arizona, several nieces and nephews, and Packer, her faithful companion.
Her father Norman, husband Dennis; brothers-in-law Ron Deitsche and David Larson
preceded her in death.
Services will be held Monday, July 3rd at 11 am at Winter Park Christian Church
in Tabernash.
