Isenberger, Iris E. (Soderberg) (11 DEC 1926 - 23 JUL 2017)

Iris E. Isenberger, 90 of Stanley, died at her home on Sunday, July 23, 2017.

She was born on December 11, 1926 at Victory Memorial Hospital the daughter of the late Einar and Elizabeth (Krueger) Soderberg. Iris grew up in Stanley and graduated from Stanley High in 1944. On December 7, 1946 she married Harold Isenberger.

In addition to being a homemaker, Iris worked for the Falls Dairy, the F & M Bank and PCA in Thorp. She and Harold were founding members of Faith Evangelical Free Church. Iris donated countless hours to the church and school. She also enjoyed flowers and bird watching and belonged to the Chipp-A-Line Homemakers Club.

She is survived by her children, Mike (Judy), Dwight (Roxan) and Nola (Leo) Peloquin all of Stanley and Cheryl Isenberger of Thorp, 11 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, one sister, Carol (Jerry) Isaacs of Hudson and one brother in law, Earl Isaacs of Mankato, MN.

Iris is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Harold (2011), and sister, Shirley Isaacs.

A funeral service will be at 11AM on Thursday, July 27th at the Plombon Funeral Home-Stanley with Rev. Randy Vandeloo officiating. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery-Stanley.

Visitation will be from 9:30AM until time of service Thursday at the funeral home.
