Henline, Margaret “Peg” (Graff) (23 NOV 1916 - 27 JUL 2017)

Margaret “Peg” Henline, 100, of Medford, passed away July 27, 2017 at Deerview Meadows. A lifetime Medford resident, she was born November 23, 1916 to Frank and Bertha (Resech) Graff.

Peg attended Medford public schools, graduating from Medford High School and was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. Peg married Howard Sterling Henline in 1936. He died in 1968.

A brother, William Graff, and two sisters, Mildred Cherney and Rosetta Makowski, also preceded her in death.

Peg is survived by two daughters, Joan McCarthy of Albany, Oregon and Marsha (Terry) Parkhill, of Westchester, California, and four grandchildren: Michael McCarthy of Oregon, Kelly McCarthy of California, Eric Parkhill of California and Krista Parkhill-Driscoll of Switzerland. She is also survived by a nephew, Kurt (Gloria) Henline and niece, Janet Doriot, all of Medford.

Peg was involved as a volunteer as bowling league secretary, the hospital auxiliary's Bargain Bin store, the American Cancer Society and as an election poll worker. She bowled on the Medford Laundry team and was also a member of the study club in Medford. After 20 years of living independently at Riverview, Peg spent her last months in assisted living.

Burial took place July 28 at Evergreen Cemetery. The family greatly appreciates the care provided by Hope Hospice.

Hemer Funeral Service of Medford and Rib Lake has been entrusted with arrangements.
