Meier, Inez Louise (5 December 1916 – 19 July 2017)
Inez L. Meier, 100, of Neillsville died Wednesday, July 19, 2017, at the Care
and Rehabilitation Center-Neillsville.
Inez Louise Jenni was born Dec. 5, 1916, in Loyal, the daughter of Ernest and
Emilie (Schoengrund) Jenni. She graduated from Loyal High School and on Oct. 5,
1941, she was united in marriage to Louis A. Meier at the Trinity Lutheran
Church in Loyal. Together, they farmed and raised their family. Inez was a
member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Neillsville.
She is survived by a daugher, Marilyn (Kenneth) Krause of Neillsville, sons
David (Donna) Meier of Eau Claire, and James (Rose) Meier of Gresham; 15
grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
Inez was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, son Kenneth, brothers
Frederick and Walter, and sister Esther.
A memorial service will be held Monday, Aug. 7, 2017, at the Gesche Funeral Home
in Neillsville. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday morning
prior to the service. Pastor Timothy Biebert will officiate. Granddaughter Judy
Trunkel will provide the music. Inurnment will be in the Neillsville City
Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be designated to St. John’s Lutheran Church
Early Leaning Center, 711 W. 5th St., Neillsville WI 54456.
