Mr. and Mrs. J.R. Barager went to Madison this past weekend, where they were
joined by Jean and Barby Barager Saturday morning in attendance at the ROTC
Cadet's Annual Chancellor's Review, Armed Forces Day Parade and an Air Force
dine-out that evening at the Top Hat in Middleton.
At the review James Barager was one of 19 cadets presented with awards for their
outstanding work in military training and studies. In the later to the Baragers,
Col. Messerrow, USSAF, said:
"It is my pleasure to inform you that your son James will received the Reserve
Officers Training Association Award for his outstanding military bearing,
initiative and academic achievement. This award will be presented at the ROTC
Chancellor's Review at 9:00 a.m., May 10, 1969, to be held in Camp Randall
Stadium.
My congratulations to you and your son for his outstanding accomplishments. I
sincerely hope you will be present for this great occasion."
