Brunner, Margaret (Thillen) (21 JUN 1921 - 2 AUG 2017)

Margaret Brunner, 96, of Medford, passed away on Wednesday August 2, 2017 at Care Partners in Medford. Margaret was born on June 21, 1921 in Chicago, IL to the late Frank and Theresa Thillen. She was married to the late Wilfred Brunner on December 23, 1939 in Medford, Wisconsin.

In 1943 Margaret and her husband moved to the town of Molitor where they farmed and logged. She also enjoyed: fishing, riding horses, Western movies, canning and gardening.

Margaret was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Rough Riders and Homemakers.
Margaret is survived by her children: Carol (Ken) Otwaska, Racine, and Bruce (Bonnie) Brunner, Town of Grover, Lenore (Alan) Brandl, Town of Little Black; 10 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 8 great great-grandchildren; Sister In-law Delores Hartwig.
In addition to her husband and parents Margaret is preceded in death by her daughter, Joyce Raffini in 1970; her brothers Anthony and John Thillen and her sister Mary Willis.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday August 5, 2017 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Medford. Pastor Brian Mundt will officiate. Burial will follow at Molitor Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church Saturday August 5, from 11:30 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be given to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and Hope Hospice and Palliative Care.

Hemer Funeral Service of Medford and Rib Lake has been entrusted with arrangements.
