Jacobi, Isabelle “Izzy” Margaret (Proft) (9 OCT 1922 - 31 JUL 2017)
Isabelle “Izzy” Margaret (Proft) Jacobi died on Monday, July 31, 2017, at her
home. She was born Oct. 9, 1922, to parents of William and Mary (Mauritz) Proft
in the town of Johnson.
She was a graduated from Athens High School in 1944. She worked for Marathon
Rubber Plant and later worked for Marathon Electric in Wausau. She married
Chester Jacobi in 1955, where they resided in the Town of Holton.
Izzy sang in the church choir, made quilts for the Orphan Grain Train and World
Relief. She volunteered at Bethesda Thrift Shop for many years. She enjoyed
gardening, camping, reading, crosswords, word search and adult coloring books.
She loved family gatherings, and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her son, Randy Jacobi; daughter, Amy Rud (Jacobi) and special
friend, Rick Moser. She has five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She
was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and family of 12 brother and
sisters.
A funeral service will be held at Christ Lutheran Church on August 11, 2017, at
11 a.m. The family will greet relatives and friends at the church from 9:30 a.m.
until the time of the service at 11 a.m. Pastor Don Bruce will be presiding.
Burial will be done after lunch with the immediate family. We would like to
thank the Hospice Ministry Home Care for their wonderful care.
