Johnson, Elaine (7 JUN 1969)
Saturday, June 7, 1969, at 2:00 p.m., at St. Joseph's Catholic Church,
Menomonie, Miss Elaine Johnson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Johnson, became
the bride of Timothy Sample, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Sample, Hastings, Minn.
Father Redman and Vicar-Pastor Dale Johnson officiated at the wedding ceremony.
As the bride approached the altar with her father she wore a gown of organza
over taffeta in a cage silhouette with Venice lace daisies detailing the
neckline, waist and sleeve cuffs. A Watteau train fell from the back to a
graceful sweep.
A profile of Venice lace daisies secured the bouffant veil of bridal illusion.
The bride's attendants were Margaret Mullen, Lana Schelich, Mary Sample and
Christine Johnston. Pink georgette over linen with candy pink satin on the demi-raised
waist was chose by the attendants. Long sleeves and a ruffled high neckline
graced the floor length gowns. A floral cluster with pearl accent secured their
bouffant veils.
Serving as ushers were Dennis Sluger, brother of the bride, Michael McGinley,
George Bailey and Gerald Williamson.
A reception was held at the Fish and Game Clubhouse.
