Westminster Presbyterian Church, Steubenville, Ohio, was the setting for the marriage June 7, 1969, at 2:30 p.m., of Carl Jean Veverka and Terry Lee Woodbeck, with the Rev. Mrs. Ross W. Porter, DD, performing the double ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles J. Veverka of Steubenville, Ohio. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Orland E. Woodbeck of Owen (Clark Co., Wis.).

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an ivory linen gown with scoop neckline, empire bodie, elbow length sleeves, sheath skirt and panels down the back from waist to hem. Venice lace trimmed the waist and edge of sleeves and panels at the back. She wore a chapel length mantilla in ivary edge in matching Venice lace. She carried a cascade of white roses, pink rose buds and lily of the valley.

Miss Doris Halverson of Columbus, Ohio, was maid of honor. Miss Elaine Zimmers of Dayton, Ohio, and Miss Linda Arthur of Ardsley, New York, were bridesmaids. They wore identical gowns of spring green polished linen with scoop necklines edged in wide ruffles of matching fabric, sleeveless, and Empire bodices with small bows and the waist. They carried white baskets of pink carnations and white daisies.

William Conzemius of Owen was best man. The ushers were Roland Woodbeck, brother of the groom of Eau Claire, and Bruce Blado of Tomah.

The reception was held in the Federal terrace in Steubenville. The couple will reside in Eau Claire.

Mrs. Woodbeck was graduated from Upper Arlington High School in Columbus, Ohio, and is a senior returning to complete her studies at Wisconsin State University, Eau Claire, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in international relations and education from Denison University, Granville, Ohio, in June 1970.

Mr. Woodbeck was graduated from Owen-Withee High School and is a senior, attending Wisconsin State University, Eau Claire. He will receive his Bachelor of Arts degree in business management in June 1970. He is employed by Wisconsin state University in the computer programming department.
