Braun, Gustave H. (4 MAR 1881 – 3 JUL 1969)

Gustave H. Braun a resident of this city (Owen, Clark Co., Wis.) for the past 61 years, passed away at Victory Memorial Hospital, Stanley, on the 3rd of July 1969. He was 88 years of age, having been born March 4, 1881.

Funeral services were conducted at two o'clock Sunday afternoon, July 6, from St. John's Luther Church, Withee, with Rev. Leroy Urman officiating. Burial was made at Riverside Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers were Walter Heideman, James and Kenneth Carlson, Hans Clausen, Emil H. Hansen, and Duane Zager.

Mr. Braun was born March 4, 1881, at Manitowoc, and was married in the town of Green Grove (Clark Co.) November 21, 1908 to Emma Anger. He worked for A.G. Bright and later at the Owen Box Company. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Myron, Oakland, Calif.; four daughters, Mrs. Thorwald Carlsen, Withee; Mrs. Roy Regner, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; Mrs. Iris Armstrong, Detroit, Mich.; and Mrs. L.W. Slodin, Minneapolis; thirteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Louis Halverson and Miss Minnie Braun, both of Owen.
