Miss Sandra Ellen Konik, Racine, daughter of Mrs. Florence Thess of Curtiss
(Clark Co., Wis.) and the late Paul Konik, became the bride of Timothy Carl
Monefeldt, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Monefeldt of Racine on Saturday, June 28,
1969 at 3:30 in the afternoon. The Rev. M.A. Miritz performed the ceremony at
the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, which was decorated with bouquets of roses,
gladioli and carnations. Gary Konik, brother of the bride, escorted his sister
to the altar. Mrs. Harold Wilhelmsen, organist, accompanied a male quartet who
sang "O Day Full of Grace."
The bride chose a white organza gown fashioned with a Sabrina neckline and
Juliet sleeves, and the gown was lavishly appliqued in English net lace
scrolling caught with wedding seed pearls.
A sweeping train was attached to the shoulders. Her full illusion veil was
attached to a caplet plateau of organdy leaves and blossoms with rhinestone
studded daisies. Her bridal bouquet consisted of roses, carnations, stephanotis
and ivy.
Mrs. Sidney Johnson, Marshfield, was matron of honor, with Mrs. Kenneth
Monefeldt, Racine, bridesmaid. They wore shirt waist gowns of white organza with
long sleeves, caught with tiny wrist ruffles which were repeated on a "A"
neckline. Their flowers were roses, carnations and ivy.
Attending the groom as best man was Kenneth Monefeldt, Racine, and groomsman was
Dr. Disney Johnson of Marshfield. Alfred Bedard and Thomas Razdik were the
ushers.
Following the wedding a reception was held in the church hall.
The bride is a 1956 graduate of the Abbotsford High School and 1961 graduate of
WSU, Eau Claire. She has been employed at the Racine Unified School District
Number 2.
