Olszewski, Adam Sr. (18 MAR 1882 – 19 JUL 1969)
Adam Olszewski Sr., 87, longtime resident of the town of Hixon (Clark Co.,
Wis.), succumbed to complications of old age and passed away at his rural home
July 19, 1969. Funeral services were conducted for the deceased from the Hoeper
and Kraut Fuenral Home at two o'clock Tuesday afternoon, July 22, with Edward
Baum in charge of the service. Burial was made at Riverside Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers were Ed, Frederick, Emil and Julius Rohland, Leonard
Galarowicz, C.W. Hoeper and Leon Bruchert.
Born March 18, 1882 in Poland, Adam Olszewski came to the United States as a
young man, and for many years was employed by a street car company in Chicago,
until his retirement, at which time he came to this community, settling on his
rural farm home in the town of Hixon.
He is survived by his widow, the former Rose Wojdak, who he married on July 11,
1915 in Chicago; a step-sister still living in Poland; three sons, Walter and
Adam Olszewski, both of Western Springs, Ill.; and Frank of Withee; two
daughters, Mrs. Frank (Helen) Dombrowski, Chicago, and Mrs. Claude (Frances (
Hoper, Dundee, Oregon; twelve grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
