Recent visitors at the Sol Laakso home were Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Boeck and family of Wahpeton, N.D. The Boecks also visited Mrs. Boeck's brother and family, the Donald Nyssti's in Cadott, Wis. The Alvin Boecks are also traveling to Iron River, Mich. to visit more relatives and friends before returning to North Dakota.

Spending a two week vacation here is Mrs. Bill Klammer and her brother Cliff Toraason of Cincinnati, Ohio.

Robert Netzer returned home on the 19th from St. Joseph's Hospital following medical treatment.

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Zalabsky spent the weekend at the home of their daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Neil Anderson, at Barron and also at Siren.

Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Mathewson and Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Haas left last Monday for Milwaukee, where they enplaned on a tour which takes them to the norther countries of Europe.

Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester O'Brien's granddaughter, Peggy Bergman, of Athens is visiting at their home and at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Pribbernow, Owen.

Mrs. Ella Zielinski, accompanied by Mrs. Mary Blazer and Mrs. Adele Jackson, drove to Algoma last Wednesday to visit with Mrs. Elaine Leahy, who is a patient at the Algoma Memorial Hospital. They found her recuperating nicely and looking quite well.

Thursday of last week a picnic was enjoyed by Mr. and Mrs. Henry Anderson, Mrs. Aagoth Stenseth, Mrs. Bill Klammer and Cliff Toraason, when they drove to Miller's Dam near Gilman.

On Friday Mrs. Klammer and Cliff Toraason visited relatives in Blair. On Saturday they joined Mrs. Klammer's husband Bill in Madison for the weekend.

Mr. and Mrs. Emil Potocnik spent a week vacationing at the home of their daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Ewert at Rockford, Illinois, and Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Nichols in Louisville, Kentucky. Mrs. Nichols and children returned to Owen with them for a week's visit with relatives and friends. They will return home with their brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Nichols of Georgia, who have been visiting in Faribault, Minnesota with her parents.
