Sundling, Sylvia Kay (16 AUG 1969)
Miss Sylvia Kay Sundling was wed to Richard Dale Hanson Saturday, August 16,
1969 at 2:30 p.m.
Sylvia is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hugo S. Sundling, Two Harbors, Minnesota,
and Richard is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph R. Hanson, Duluth.
Rev. Roy Sveiven officiated at the services held at Riverview United Methodist
Church in Duluth.
Matron of honor was Mrs. Roger Manninen from Bemidji, Minn., and bridesmaid was
Miss Deborah Anderson, Jim Falls, Wis.
Gordon Hanson, brother of the groom, served as best man, and Roger Priolo of
Duluth was groomsman. Ushering were Bruce Lidnberg and John Runquist, both of
Duluth.
Foer her marriage the bride chose an exquisite floor length gown of delicate
rosepoint lace. The Juliet bodice was designed with a jewel neckline, edged with
a tiny ruffle and full bishop sleeves. Sparkling sequins highlighted the high
rise line and held soft gathers which fell to form the serene simplicity of the
slender skirt. A flowing chapel train added aisle beauty. Mist illusion was
deftly caught to a matching band of lace to complete the bridal portrait.
The bride carried gladiola with stephanotis adorned with a white orchid corsage
in the center of the bouquet.
A reception in the church parlors followed the ceremony.
Following their wedding trip, the couple is now living in Owen (Clark Co., Wis.)
and both are teaching in the Owen-Withee School System.
