Salzwedel, Roger D. (17 SEP 1950 – 21 AUG 2017)
Roger Salzwedel, age 66 of Neillsville, WI, friend to all stranger to none, died
Monday, August 21, 2017 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield, WI.
Roger Dale Salzwedel was born on September 17, 1950 in Marshfield, WI the son of
Elroy and Velda (Kiddoo) Salzwedel. He graduated from Granton High School in
1968 and became the field operator for the Midwest Industrial Council of
Carpenters working in the area all of his life.
He is survived by four children, Michael (Rayna) Salzwedel of Cameron, NC,
Carmen (Jeff) Schweiger of Loyal, WI, Erin (Jamie) Gardner of Greenwood, WI and
Angela (Coty) Montgomery of Neillsville, WI, nine grandchildren, Zackary,
Dacotah, Magnus, Oliver, Roslin, Riggin, Avery, Gavyn and Nolyn, his parents,
Elroy and Velda Salzwedel, nine siblings, Linda Scheel, Sandy (Dave) Ellis,
Larry (Jackie) Salzwedel, Debbie Rosandich, Susan (Jeff) Ludwig, Jalaine (Steve)
Specht, Robin (DuWayne) Zinthefer, William (Jenny) Salzwedel and Jeff (Melissa)
Salzwedel and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, James Scheel, two nephews, Troy
and Jamie Scheel, a niece, Nicole Rosandich and other grandparents.
A Memorial Service for Roger will be held at 11:30 a.m., Friday, August 25, 2017
at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30
a.m., at the funeral home. Following the service, a reception will be held at
the American Legion in Neillsville.
