Skwierczynski, Anna (13 JUN 1899 – 31 DEC 1969)
Anna Skwierczynski, 70, passed away at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield of a
blood clot to the heart and head.
Funeral services were held at St. Hedwig's Chapel, Thorp, on Saturday, January
3, 1970. Father Joseph officiated at the ten a.m. service, and interment was
made in the parish cemetery (New St. Hedwig's). Pallbearers were: four
grandsons, Robert Kostick and Thomas Hempelman, both of Thorp, Daniel
Skwierczynski of Chicago, Lenard Ponds and Frank Rydo.
Anna Trochen (?) was born June 13, 1899 at South Chicago, Ill. On November 23,
1915 she was united in marriage at Thorp to Nick Skwierczynski, who preceded her
in death.
Surviving are five sons, Walter Skwierczynski, Leon Skwierczynski, both of
Chicago; Frank Skwierczynski of Mt. Prospect, Ill.; Louis Skwierczynski of
Chicago; Nick Skwierczynski Jr., also Chicago; one daughter (Helen) Mrs. John
Kostick of rural Thorp; two brothers, Walter Schmay of Chicago, Albert Schmay of
West Allis; two sisters, (Helen) Mrs. Louis Papierniak, Thorp, and (Mary) Mrs.
Frank Pydo of Chicago; also 21 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
