Drescher, Warren H. (4 DEC 1904 – 25 JUL 1982)
NEILLSVILLE - Warren H. Drescher, 77, Route 1, Neillsville, died at 1:10 a.m.
Sunday at St. Joseph's l Hospital in Marshfield, where he had been admitted on
Thursday.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Gesche Funeral Home. The Rev.
Howard Ott of the United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in the
Town of Grant Cemetery.
Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday and until time of services Wednesday at
the funeral home.
Mr. Drescher was born Dec. 4,1904 in the Town of Grant to Mr. and Mrs. Oscar
(Lydia Machel) Drescher and 1 received his education there. In 1924 he went to
Chicago and worked for the railroad, returning to Clark County in 1931.
He then farmed with his parents and I later took over the home farm, which he
operated until 1950. He then operated a repair shop in the Town of Grant until
retiring in 1973. After his retirement he moved to Tacoma, Wash., and in recent
years had spent the winter months there and the summers in the Town of Grant.
He married the former Beverly Karl Sept. 7, 1935 at Crown Point, Ind. She
survives.
Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Larry (Sharon) Fitzmaurice, Marshfield;
a son, Jerry, Tacoma, Wash.; and two grandchildren.
