Schultz, Fern E. (17 FEB 1922 – 18 DEC 1999)
SPENCER – Fern Elizabeth (Bishop) Schultz, 77, Spencer, died Saturday, December
18, 1999 at St. Joseph Hospital Hospice Home, House of the Dove, Marshfield
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 22, 1999, at United
Methodist Church, Spencer. The Rev. Lois Takata will officiate.
Burial will be in Loyal City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Robert Ryan Jr., Ryan
Corey, Aimee Schultz, Steve Zinsli and Brian Olstinski.
Friends may call at Community Funeral Home, Spencer, from 4-9 p.m. Tuesday and
at the church on Wednesday from 1 p.m. until service time.
Fern was born February 17, 1922. m the town of Unity, Clark County to Frank and
Edna (nee Hebert) Bishop. She attended area schools, and graduated from Colby
High School.
She was married to Alfred Schultz on September 29, 1943, at Loyal United
Methodist parsonage, with Rev. Myron Taylor officiating. After Alfred's
discharge from the Army in 1945, the couple farmed north of loyal until 1968,
but continued to live there until Alfred death in 1984.
Fem mowed to Spencer and was a member of United Methodist Church and its women's
organization.
She is survived by two sons, Richard (Evelyn) Schultz of Spencer and Robert
(Kris) Schultz of Loyal; four grandchildren, Robert (Kori) Schultz Jr., Ryan
Schultz. Corey Schultz and Aimee Schultz; two sisters Shirley (Keith) Zinsli of
spencer and Glenda (Ken) Speich of Greenwood.
She was preceded m death by her parents, her husband; two brothers. Verle and
Merrill Bishop, and a granddaughter, Erica Ann Schultz.
