Maldonis, Arlene C. (23 MAR 1922 – 30 APR 1999)
ABBOTSFORD – Arlene Charlotte Maldonis, 77, Abbotsford, died at 1:45 a.m., April
30, 1999, at the Clark County Health Care Center in Owen (Clark Co., Wis.),
where she had resided since July 1998.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Christ Lutheran Church with
the Rev. Dr. Paul C. Hunsicker officiating.
Burial will be in Abbotsford Public Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be
Larry Duvall Todd Duvall, Ryan Maldonis, Kevin Duvall, Robin Maldonis, and
Marvin Strassburger.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Maurina
Funeral Home, and from 10 a.m. until service time Monday at the church.
The former Arlene Charlotte Frahmann was born on March 23, 1922, in the town of
Holway (Marathon Co., Wis.), rural Medford. She attended the town of Holway
school and Medford High School.
Arlene and Walter Maldonis were united in marriage on September 21, 1940, in
Curtiss. They farmed in the town of Hull, rural Abbotsford, for 40 years, and in
1982 moved to reside in Abbotsford.
She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid. As a homemaker,
she loved to cook for family and friends, enjoyed her garden and fishing, and
was a member of the Women's Pinochle Club. Arlene aso gifted her family with her
beautiful handmade quilts.
She will be sadly missed by her loving husband of 58 years, Walter Maldonis of
Owen; three sons, Walter (Kathy) Maldonis Jr. of Franklin, Gary (JerryAnn)
Maldonis of Athens, and Ron (Lois) Maldonis of Abbotsford; one daughter, Beverly
(Lyle) Duvall of Colby; four brothers, George (Aini) Frahmann of Abbotsford,
Galen (Lillian) Frahmann of Medford, Everett (Elaine) Frahmann of Waukesha, and
Melton (Carol) Frahmann of Sandwich, Maine; five grandchildren, three
step-grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant daughter, Rhonda.
