Okerglicki, Jacob D. Jr. (2 MAY 1931 - 2017?)

Jacob D. Okerglicki, JR, 86 of Stanley died peacefully at his home under the care of Mayo Hospice. He was born on May 2, 1931 to the late Jacob and Katherine (Kowahl) Okerglicki, SR.

Jake grew up in the Independence area and married Bonita Schultz on November 24, 1956 at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Jake worked for NSP from 1957-1993. He was an avid collector of different things and he loved to drive this ’59 Dodge Coronet.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Bonnie of Stanley, 7 children, Jan Mitchell, Paul (Tina) Okerglicki, Dave (Diane) Okerglicki, Steve (Wendy) Okerglicki all of Stanley, Jill (Matt) Jentlie of Eau Claire, Brian Okerglicki of Eleva and Marla (Gail) Okerglicki of Neillsville, 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Jake is preceded in death by his parents, his sisters Agnes Domer and Katherine Woodley and son in law, Michael Mitchell.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:30 AM on Friday, September 8th at Holy Family Catholic Church with Father William Felix officiating. Interment will follow in the Parish Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:30 AM until time of service Friday at the Church.

Plombon Funeral Service assisted the family with arrangements.
