Prasnicky, Ruth Elaine (Lundgren) (5 MAY 1938 - 29 AUG 2017)
Ruth Elaine Prasnicky, age 79, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2017 at her home
in Sheldon.
Ruth was born on May 5, 1938 in Racine, the tenth child of Arthur W. and Carrie
I. Holly Lundgren. She was the last living of the children. They have lived in
this area since 1950.
On Nov. 5, 1955, she married Anthony John Prasnicky in Jump River at St.
Michael's Catholic Church. Ruth spent her life farming, gardening, hunting,
fishing and quilting. She worked at The Northern Sash and Door in Hawkins, was
the treasurer of the Ladies Auxiliary and the Jump River Fire Department, a
member of the Jump River Lions Club and an attendant of the Town of McKinley
Recycling Center, where she was known as "The Dump Lady".
Ruth is survived by her husband and three daughters, Ruth Ann Olson (Jim Hoehn),
Antoinette and William Miller Sr. and Rachel and David Malinowski; eight
grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; two
special nieces; and one sister-in-law.
Ruth was preceded in death by four sisters, six brothers and a sister-in-law.
A private celebration to celebrate her life will be held at a later date as she
had requested.
Nash-Jackan Funeral Home of Ladysmith is assisting with the arrangements.
