Duffy, Charles (20 July 1912 – 31 July 1974)

Word has been received here that Charles Dufy, 62, died July 31, in Riceville, Ia., from injuries suffered in a two-car accident. He was the father of Mrs. Donald McFarlane of Willard.

Funeral services were held last week in Riceville. Mr. and Mrs. McFarlane and daughter, Donna Marie, attended the service.

Mr. Duffy was born July 20, 1912, in Riceville. Later he lived in Oakland, Ca., Arkansas, and Ohio. He was married to Dorothy Wells. He was a barber by trade.

Surviving besides his wife are six children: Donna (Mrs. Donald) McFarlane of Willard, LeRoy Duffy of Charles City, Ia., Mrs. Dorothy Sanchez of Oakland, Ca., Gary Duffy of Chester, Ia., Patricia Ruiz of Oakland, Ca., and Robert Duffy of Hayward, Ca. Surviving also are 16 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, seven brothers and a sister.

He was known in the Willard area.
