Begley, Marion Hazel (1 October 1887 – 12 August 1974)

A native of the Town of Weston, Mrs. Marion Hazel Begley of Memorial Home, died Monday, August 12, at the age of 86. Funeral services were to be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. from the United Church of Christ with the Rev. Gary Clark officiating. Burial was to be in the Neillsville City Cemetery. The Georgas Funeral Home made funeral arrangements.

Mrs. Begley, the daughter of Albert and Carrie (Foster) Holt, was born October 1, 1887, in the Town of Weston, and was educated in schools there. She did house work as a young woman. Her marriage to Edward Begley took place October 5, 1910, in Neillsville.

The couple farmed in the Town of York until his death in 1933, after which she moved to the city of Neillsville where she lived until entering Memorial Home in February. Mrs. Begley was a member of the United Church of Christ, the Royal Neighbors of America, and the Women of the Moose.

Among survivors are one sister, mrs. Vera Joyce of Greenwood; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Ione Begley of Neillsville; two grandchildren, Gary Begley of Green Bay, and Donna Maddox of Sioux Falls, S.D.; and five great-grandchildren and one great-great- grandchild.
