Andraska, Marcella (Wenzel) (8 SEP 1924 - 4 SEP 2017)
Marcella Andraska, age 92, passed away on Sept. 4, 2017, under the care of
Aspirus Hospital, Wausau. She resided at The Wellington Assisted Living Place,
Rib Mountain, since 2011.
Marcella was born on Sept. 8, 1924, in Milwaukee, daughter of the late Anton and
Angeline (Putkamer) Wenzel. After graduating from Marathon High School she
worked at Cutler-Hammer, Milwaukee, from 1942-1946. She married Roman Andraska
on Sept. 18, 1946, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cassel. She and her
husband of 67 years lived in Cassel before retiring and moving to Marathon. He
preceded her in death on Sept. 20, 2013.
A lifelong member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Marcella was a choir
member, prayer leader, CCD teacher and a member of the Parish Council of
Catholic Women. She was a homemaker and enjoyed travelling, swimming, music,
playing cards and spending time with her family. Marcella had a great sense of
wit which she shared with others.
Marcella will be dearly missed by her two daughters, Glenice (Rob) Klestinski,
Gilbert, Ariz., and Karen (Bruce) Donahue, Bend, Ore.; four sons, David (Diane)
Andraska, Black River Falls, Mark Andraska, Marathon, Jim (Kim) Andraska, Hatley,
and Paul Andraska, Addison, Texas; and one sister, Alvina Lensmire, Marathon.
She is also survived by her nine grandchildren, Nicholas (Teresa) Burkard, Tyler
(Brittany) Donahue, Katherine Donahue, Colin Donahue, Rebecca (Jeff) Hoeben, Amy
(Matt) Brunette, Kevin Andraska, Kristy (Tim) Cogdill and Jordan (Samantha)
Andraska; and twelve great-grandchildren.
Along with her parents and husband, Romie, she was preceded in death by one
sister, Irene Andershak; two brothers, Simon Wenzel and Clarence Wenzel; and one
great-grandchild, David Cogdill.
The funeral Mass was celebrated Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017, at 11:30 a.m. at Sacred
Heart Catholic Church in Cassel. Rev. Felix Tigoy and Rev. Msgr. Joseph
Diermeier presided. Family received friends from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the
service. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Marathon, was in charge of arrangements.

Marcella.
Marcella will be a living presence to her family as she was an example of faith,
