Grube, Stella Louise (Hoffmann) (19 JAN 1947 - 6 SEP 2017)
Stella L. Grube, age 70, of Dorchester, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2017,
at Wausau Aspirus Hospital in Wausau.
A funeral service for Stella was held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2017,
at Zion Lutheran Church in Stetsonville with Reverend Richard Russow presiding.
Burial followed in Riverside Cemetery in Withee. Family and friends were
welcomed from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2017, at the
Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford and from 10 a.m. until the time of
service at the church on Wednesday.
Stella was born on Jan. 19, 1947, in Marshfield, the daughter of Clifford G. and
Bernice E. (Bunke) Hoffmann. She received her education at Owen-Withee schools.
Her marriage to Kenneth W. Grube took place on Sept. 17, 1966, in Owen. Stella
worked for Liberia Manufacturing in Abbotsford and for Cellcom in the East Town
Mall in Abbotsford and later she was owner of Crafters Hideout in Abbotsford and
Dorchester.
She enjoyed sewing, traveling, flower gardening, reading, crafts, fishing and
being with family.
Stella is survived by her husband, Kenneth W. Grube of Dorchester; children,
Candie (Bill) Tauchen of Dorchester, Dustin (Anna) Grube of Owen, Royce (Eric)
Scheck of Evans, Ga., and Crystal (Dusty) Krueger of Stetsonville; six
grandchildren, Connor Tauchen, Hollyann Grube, Benjamin Grube, Skylier Krueger,
Melodie Krueger and Kendra Krueger.
She is further survived by her siblings, Wilma Neuenfeldt of Dorchester, Lorna
Larsen of Medford and Gary (Joy) Hoffmann of Strum.
Stella was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Billie Louise Grube in
infancy; and a brother, Lincoln Hoffmann.
