Lavern H. Sauder, age 8 months 10 days, passed away on Sunday, September 10, 2017 at his home. A Funeral Service will be held at 9:00 am on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at the Meadowbrook Mennonite Church, rural Thorp.

Lavern was born on December 31, 2016 at his home, the son of Nathan W. and Joanna B. (Hoover) Sauder.

Lavern is survived by his parents, Nathan and Joanna; his brother, Nevin H. Sauder; his paternal grandparents: Marvin H. and Esther M. Sauder: maternal grandparents: Norman L. and Ina Z. Hoover; great-grandfather, Paul N. Burkholder and great-grandparents, Enos Z. and Esther S. Weaver.

He is further survived by aunts and uncles: James B. (Lois M.) Hoover, John Mark B. (Norma M.) Hoover, Dorcas B. Hoover, Timothy B. Hoover, Matthew B. Hoover, Julia B. Hoover, Joshua B. Hoover, Marilyn W. (Edgar H.) Zimmerman, Ruth Ann W. (Eugene H.) Zimmerman, Christine W. (David N.) Shirk, Norma W. Sauder, Harlan W. Sauder, Jason W. Sauder, Marvin W. Sauder and Esther W. Sauder.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Lorene H. Sauder, great grandmother, Frances R. Burkholder; great-grandparents, John M. and Anna Mary W. Sauder; two uncles and one aunt: Michael B. Hoover, Eugene W. Sauder and Mary Elizabeth B. Hoover
