Borowski, Veronica (2 JAN 1888 – 19 FEB 1970)

Veronica Borowski, 82, passed away February 19, 1970 at Victory Memorial Hospital, Stanley. Funeral services were held at St. Hedwig's Chapel on Monday, February 23. Father Joseph Walijewski officiated at the 9:30 a.m. Mass, and burial was made in the new parish cemetery.

Pallbearers were Sammie Borowski Jr., Mark Borowski, Joseph Borowski, George Bielecki, Roger Wagner and Vern Janisewaki.

Veronica Karpinski was born January 2, 1888 in Chicago, Ill. She was united in marriage at St. Hedwig's Church in Thorp in 1907 to Sam Borowski, who preceded her in death in 1958.

Surviving are four sons, John of Oconomowoc, Frank of Cadott, Sam and Stanley of Thorp; three daughters, (Mary) Mrs. Walter Brzezinski of Thorp, (Rose) Mrs. John Wolfe of Chicago, (Nina) Mrs. Bruno Nurmi of Olympia, Washington; one brother, William Karpinski, of Thorp; one sister, (Mary) Mrs. Frank Krupski of Seattle, Washington; 23 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
