Bogumill, Thomas R. (19 OCT 1900 – 20 FEB 1970)
Thomas R. Bogumill, born in the town of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) to Joseph and
Mary Bogumill October 19, 1900, died of a heart attack in his home at Largo,
Florida on February 20, 1970.
He graduated from Thorp High School in 1919 and from the U.W. at Madison in 1923
as a Chemical Engineer. He spent less than two years in the U.S. Navy during
World War I. He then worked for Peoples Gas Company of Chicago from 1923 until
he retired in 1965.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Leon and John; sisters Mrs.
Charles (Gertrude) Herman and Mrs. John (Sophia) Huls.
He leaves to mourn, his wife Doris (nee Jackey); his daughter Mary (Mrs. David
Callahan), and five grandchildren in Wheaton, Ill.; sisters, Mrs. Stanley (Lucy)
Manicki, Mrs. Tom (Elizabeth) Polnaszek, Mrs. Paul (Pauline) Rublin, Mrs. Robert
(Catherine) Blazel, and brothers Ed and Frank.
His remains were interred in the Dr. Jackey family lot in Forest Home Cemetery
in Milwaukee on February 25, 1970.
Most of his relatives and friends were present for the services.
