Hendricks, Patricia M. (Marriage – 10 August 1974)
Wausau is the home for Mr. and Mrs. Laurence M. Herman, who were married August
10 in a 10 a.m. ceremony performed by the Rev. John Puerner. The bride’s mother
and the groom’s father were the witnesses.
The new Mrs. Herman, the former Miss Patricia M. Hendricks of Thorp, is the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hendricks, Greenwood. Mr. and Mrs. Marion
Herman, Thorp, are her husband’s parents.
For her marriage, the bride chose an A-line gown fashioned with a
slightly-raised waistline, high collar, puffed sleeves caught by wide cuffs and
seed pearl and daisy trimmed bodice. Her three-tiered veil also trimmed with
daisies, swept into a flowing train. She carried a trailing arrangement of red
roses, stephanotis, baby’s breath, and ivy.
Roger Truckey served as organist for the ceremony, and Mini Biddle was the
soloist.
A reception for the immediate family was held at the Thorpedo restaurant, with a
reception for family and friends following at Leon and Lil’s.
The former Miss Hendricks is a 1970 graduate of Greenwood High School and is
employed as a legal secretary. Her husband graduated from Thorp High School in
1968, attended the Wausau Technical Institute from 1968-70, and will be
returning there for further studies.
