Goemer, Barbara (7 FEB 1970)
Miss Barbara Goemer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Merlyn Peckham, Milwaukee, became
the bride of Robert J. Rycerz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Rycerz, Thorp (Clark
Co., Wis.), on Saturday, February 7, 1970 at St. Agens Catholic Church, Butler,
Wis. Reverend Fr. Wilbur performed the 1:30 p.m. marriage ceremony.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white Poi De Soie gown
trimmed in lace. She carried a heart shaped bouquet of deep red roses and white
carnations.
Miss Kathryn Rousseau, friend of the bride, was maid of honor, and junior
bridesmaid was Debra Goemer, sister of the bride. They wore red velvet dresses
with the waistline trimmed in white pearls and each carried flowers the same as
the bride, but in smaller proportion.
Attending the groom was Gary Klewicki, friend of the groom, as best man. Ushers
were Arthur Jansen, uncle of the bride, and Alan Rycerz, brother of the groom.
A reception for 80 guests was given by the bride and groom in the parish hall.
The bride attended Custer High School and is employed by Kurth Realty as a
secretary. The groom attended Thorp High School and is a machinist with
Wisconsin Motor Corp.
After a wedding trip to Tampa, Florida, they will make their home at 3740 N.
88th St., Milwaukee.
