Brey, Diane M. (8 MAY 1958 – 24 SEP 2017)

Diane M. Brey, age 59, of Appleton, formerly of Colby, passed away on Sunday, September 24, 2017 at her home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at St. Mary of Help of Christian Catholic Parish in Colby. Father Charles Hiebl will officiate. Interment to follow at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Colby. Family and friends are welcome from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, September 29 at the Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Colby and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at the church.

Diane was born May 8, 1958, the daughter of Daniel and Marilyn (Devine) Brey in Marshfield. She graduated from Colby High School and UW-Stout. Diane managed several clothing stores, worked at SFR in Chippewa Falls and worked for the State of Wisconsin as an Adjudicator. She was an artist, chocolate connoisseur, NASCAR fan and collected shoes. Diane also was a runner and ran track in High School and at UW-Stout.

Diane is survived by six brothers and sisters: Deborah Brey of Colby, Sally (Robert) Crane of Stevens Point, Gary (Vicky) Brey of Appleton, Doreen (David) Hebert of Spencer, Kathleen (Joseph) Conley of Marshfield and Judine Brey of Eau Claire; ten nieces and nephews: Joshua Crane, Amy Crane, Nicolas Crane, Daniel Hebert, Marcella Hebert, Steven Hebert, Kevin Brey, Kelly Brey, Anthony Conley and Theodore Conley.

She is further survived by Aunts and Uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Michael.
